Science Roadshow

Yesterday the 26th of March 2019 we went to the science roadshow and it was super fun.

We had to do experiments and we also got to enter a competition if we could answer the questions right

I got to enter the competition and at the end the people drew out who won and the winners were... 

well you'll have to find out at the end.

We went to the Science roadshow at period 4 just before lunch time 

It was so much fun there were so so so many different types of experiments there 

were some you had to solve some you got to play others you got to be apart of experiments.

I think my favourite part was trying to solve the experiments and watching the elephant toothpaste form. I also liked the big explosion they made.

We had three other classes with us two primary school classes and another class from 

college. They let some kids stand up and help with the experiments it was cool

to watch because they would let them put the chemicals in the flame and make different

colours. There was two parts of the show the first part of the show was

making explosions and getting volunteers to help them do

the experiments. Then we got to have a look around and play with the experiments.

then they sat us down again and then they had part 2 of the show,

in the second part of the show it was near the end so they drew the winners names out of the box and it 

was me and another little girl from one of the primary schools.
Overall it was a great day and we all had fun!

My Zoo Story

My Inspiration!



One day very early in the morning the zookeeper's walked into the zoo thinking this is just going to be a normal day at the office as they say. But as I just said they were thinking that it was going to be a normal day they didn’t know that what they were walking into was a disaster! The zoo was in a mess they even had to call the police because they thought someone had vandalised the zoo! It wasn't anybody is what the police said. What the zookeeper’s didn’t know is that there were no animals at the zoo everybody was too busy cleaning to check on the animal's straight away because they are all in their homes at night so they went to check on the animals but there were no animals there!? Where had they gone what happened?! It was starting to fall into place the animals had made the mess. Where had the animals gone!?, the zoo had been struck by lightning and thunder so the animals escaped into the wild. Everyone of them were being tracked fortunately. Everyone of the animals were back at the zoo and the zoo was clean they can finally open up the zoo again, after that they all lived happily ever after!

Athletics day

The other day on Friday the 1st of march we at Otaki domain Otaki college had athletics day. It was fun to see everyone compete and have fun. At first we had to run, jog or walk 1500m around the domain. We had all of the house tents on the field, after the sprints we had our house chants and tortara won. Unfortunately i'm not in tortara. My favourite spots were discuss and shot put because I came third in discuss and second in shot put. We all had to dress up in our house colours and so I had to dress up in red! The way everyone dressed up was amazing everyone was all colourful it was a really fun day. Here are all of the house colours rimu (red) tortara (green) kauri (cody is how you say it) (yellow) matai (blue) At lunch there was a sausage sale on for two dollars and everyone was running around. After lunch we had sprints and relays it was fun to watch everyone compete because if they got a placing they had to don the sprints or the relays. It was fun to watch my friends do the high jump because we were all in groups for example year 7&8 girls are together and year 9&10 girls together so the whole day was run like that. It was fun doing the rugby ball throw because there was a hula hoop being held up by rope and there were three stages and you had to throw the rugby ball throw the hoop at each different stage but you only had three throws each time I only made it but to the second stage you have to step back like 1 or 2 meters at each stage. I had a great day it was fun!
