A Long Walk To Water

I have learned once the boys hit the age of 10 years old they go to school and the girls stay home with their mother and learn how to keep a clean house. Salvas family is in the Dinka tribe and when the boys become men the tribe makes a scar on the men's head. Nothing is the same for me except I do have to do housework and I go to school but I don't have to be ten to start school and once I get home from school I might have to do some chores but that's about it, and I definitely don't have to get a scar on my head. Salva would have thought he was about to die. That everything he was looking forward to in life was gonna be gone. he would never see his family ever again. He was scared. I would be scared and wanting my family. I would do anything to get out that position. Salva and some other villages went to a cabin to stay for the night but when Salva woke up they had left him.
