My College Visit

Today I went to Ōtaki Collage for a visit and when we got there Matua gave us a speech. We got to have a tour around so that when we go to collage next year we know where everything is. My top three favourite things we did were P.E, Science and Wood-Works.
In P.E. we got to play a game that involved team-work. We had to get through the ropes without touching them. Every rope we went through got cut out so we couldn't go through them again, we had to lift up the others to get them through the top ropes.
In science we got a sheet to write down what colour the chemical turned when we put it in the flame. It was very exciting to see the chemical turn a different colour.
When we went into wood-works Matua was making a Patu. There were more Māori carvings on the table too. We got to look at some of the tools he used, he also let us look at the wood he uses.
I had a great day.
