Hello my name is Elick, I come from France. my family and I moved away from France when the war began there and we moved to South Africa. When we moved here I had just turned 3 now I am 8 and today for my birthday all I want to do is go out fishing with my dad. I asked him if we could but it was raining so I thought that he would say no. I asked him anyway and his reply was "If you clean the dishes clean your room and put away the clothes then we can okay son." my faced dropped did he forget it was my birthday I said to my father "Dad you know it's my birthday right?" "Of course son I just wanted to see the look on your face and it was priceless" I replied "Dad!" So my father and I went to the river and because we don't have much money we are just gonna catch the fish with our hands. It is so much fun because we can just jump in and have a swim then we can try and get some fish. It was also handy because then we can cook it tonight and have it for tea if we catch one.
